Blistering fingerpicking, woozy hollering and songs about the sea

We're stoked to be heading to Dumfries and Galloway to visit Swallow Theatre for a show. It'll be our first time in Scotland, so we're pretty damn excited, coastal walks and star gazing definitely on the agenda. We'll also be trying out some new material. Tell your friends!

In other news, we have badges, many badges. Look out for them at gigs where you can snap one up, you'll be the talk of the town for sure.

We're coming your way, this Thursday at Number 1 Harbourside, tell your friends, tell your enemies, rejoice!

Here's what they say - "Amit and Rich are two dedicated folksters with an unerring knack for fingerpicking guitar and a penchant for what they call ‘woozy hollering’. They’re mean banjo players and mandolinists, too, and considering they’re West Midlanders in real life they’re about as down home and country as it gets. Which is plenty."

Also, here's a video about peace and unity from Amit and his partner in crime Ellie

Shakespeare and an Orchard

Well what a wonderful couple of weeks we've had. Last Sunday we played at the Royal Shakespeare Company in the Swan Gardens. We were fortunate enough to be asked to curate a Midsummer Music Session, a celebration of the Midsummer Night's Dream in musical form. We brought together a smattering of our favourite local artists (Chris Cleverley, Dan Wilkins, Eleanor Dattani and Abi Budgen) to play sets of music and collaborate on songs linked to 'dreams'.

The sun was shining and we all had a fantastically Shakespearean time.

Next Sunday 19th June, we've got a special show with Women Folk, Eleanor Dattani and our old arch rivals the Brave Sons of Elijah Perry, all within the beautiful setting of HIghbury Orchard. It's a ticketed event (£10) and it kicks off at 7pm. All money raised from the tickets will be donated to the Highbury Orchard Community Group

Drop us a line if you'd like to attend, and see you out in the sunshine soon!

What's happenin'

Well it's been a lovely couple of weeks our end, with shows in Nottingham and Birmingham. A particular highlight was our show in Bearwood last month at the Thimblemill Library with our good friend Dan Hartland and Mr Josh Harty. Great to play on the same bill as Josh again, the quality was top notch, matched only by the lovely audience. Great fun to have our buddy Dan Wilkins on percussion duties again - always a hoot.

This weekend we've a special performance happening at Ort Cafe in Birmingham. Amit Dattani and his partner in crime Eleanor Dattani (a fantastic folk singer/songwriter/performer) will be playing a show together. It kicks off at 8pm, with a set from each of them followed by some carefully crafted duets - lovely!

And on Sunday, Mellow Peaches will be heading to The Cross Keys in Alcester for a night of bluesy fun with the inimitable Jack Blackman and Pistol Pete Wearn

Hope to see you fine folks

April april

Hey folks,

We're happy to be playing a few shows in April, getting our fingers all warmed up and limber for the Summer. We'll be playing a couple of shows with our friend Josh Harty, a wonderful singer, songwriter and guitar player from North Dakota. First up we're at the Polish Eagle Club in Nottingham on 20th April, followed by the Thimblemill Library in Bearwood on 23rd April, also sharing the bill with our buddy Dan Hartland. And finally you can catch us at the Roadhouse in Birmingham on 28th April.

All good fun!
